I hope everyone is off to great start with the New Year! I myself am very excited about "20KIM"!! I know you all have been waiting patiently....some impatiently.....but it's almost time.....I have a new single coming out titled "Strobe Light". I collaborated with the talented and loving Randy Jackson. I never thought I would be working with him! I must say that we had so much fun and I couldn't be more excited about this project!!! Stay tuned for more information. I know you will!!! I appreciate all of you and you support....Without the fans there would be no celebrities! Kimberley recently sat down with Josh Skinner to discuss her life on Idol and her #1 hit "8th World Wonder." They also discussed her past friendship with former American Idol contestant and roommate Clay Aiken. Kimberley has never publicly commented on Aiken since his "coming out" interview with Diane Sawyer, where Aiken admits that Locke was the only one he told about his homosexuality. She also discuses how past experiences have helped pen songs like "Friend Like You," and others.

Hey Everyone,
I was watching the Janet Jackson interview last night with Robin Roberts and I was so moved and inspired by Janet that I wanted to blog about it. Ladies, if you haven't seen it go watch it online. It is so worth it. Janet was real, vulnerable and absolutely beautiful. At times I felt as if she were talking to me as my best friend and then there were times that I related to her so much it was scary, as if she were in my head. She did something for me last night that she may never know, she inspired me and let me know that we all share the same issues. What I want my female fans to know is that we ALL have insecurities, even Janet Jackson. Myself included. To see Janet Jackson sit there in her interview and talk about her weight issues, how she didn't like her smile, and her butt... It was mind blowing!!! Because I was sitting on the couch looking at her as my idol and how amazing she is and to hear her say she's a "Normal" woman just made me love her so much more. Everything that she said I have heard myself say those same things. But Miss Jackson told me last night "that I'm fine". As for Jermaine Dupree, the way she spoke of his love for her made me melt. Harvey and I rewinded it twice just to hear and see the love they have for one another. I'm blessed because I have someone in my life who let's me know that "I'm fine just the way I am" as well. I'm telling you she moved me!!!! Through it all, Janet Jackson is still in control!!! I have a new found love for her as a woman. I can't wait to read her book. One Love Kimberley Locke |
