| Ultimate Q & A (part 1)! - January 12, 2006 |
|
Hello Everyone, I hope everyone had a great holiday season...I did! I am so excited about the upcoming year not to mention I am also a Nervous Nelly! I am so ready!!!! I am going to try and answer some of the questions that you posted on the message boards....here goes: Q: If you had the chance to sky dive or do something crazy, would you?A: Yes, I would. I have bungee jumped before in Pensacola, FL! Q: What is one thing you want to do in your lifetime (other than have a successful music career)? A: Help others and have a family. Q: What was the best gift you have received from a fan? A: Honestly, I receive so many great gifts from my fans that I am always surprised by their creativity! Q: What's your favorite book? And what kind of books do you enjoy reading and would you recommend any to us? A: I like to read mystery books. I really enjoyed reading Dan Browns, “Da Vinci Code” and “Angels and Demons.” Check those out! I am sure most of you have already read those. Right? Q: A while ago (like two years ago) you did the AIDS walk in South Africa. Now, have you ever thought of going back -- whether it's doing the walk again or taking part in other AIDS organizations? A: I would love to go back to South Africa. I have a friend who just got back and they had an amazing time. I am actually thinking about going back next year. Q: Humor the few Canadian fans here…lol. As "I Could" is now beginning to pick up in Canada, is there any chance you'll come back to do some promotion? Actually, have you ever been to any part of Canada that's not Toronto? I'm kinda curious…lol. A: I am sure I will visit Canada again next for my promotional tour. No, I have only been able to visit Toronto, but hopefully that will change. Any recommendations? Q: Heyyy Kimmie, 10 years from now one of the Krew finds your time capsule that you filled yesterday. What would they see inside? A: Let’s see…Pictures of my best friends and fondest memories. Things that reference my career, including pictures of my fans, that you all have graciously provided me with! Probably, a letter that would list some important life lessons. Thanks Muffy for the list of 29 things I should have done on my 28th Birthday! Q: A question I've been wondering is with the success that you have seen in the dance clubs with the remixes of “8th World Wonder”, is there any plans on putting “Supawoman” in the clubs with some hot remixes? This song has club anthem written all over it. If so, any ideas of what remixers you would like to work with? If you are looking for good remixers, let me know, I'll give you the hook up and let you know who the hottest remixers are right now! A: We are so excited about the release of “Supawoman!” We all believe that this is going to be an amazing year for all of us! I thank everyone in advance for hanging in there and supporting me every step of the way…through the good and the bad! “Supawoman” is truly the new club anthem! And of course, there will be a dance mix, as many as they will allow us to do! Q: Favorite movie? A: “The Notebook”…I love it….grab a friend and rent it this Friday night! Q: Favorite song you have EVER recorded (including the new cd)? A: “A Dream Is A Wish” one of my favorites! Q: Person you would LOVE most to collaborate with? A: Patty LaBelle and Whitney Houston (God Bless Her) Q: Favorite city to tour in (come back to Kansas City!)? A: I am sure I will come back to Kansas City, but I love New York! Q: What is your response to people asking you to tour in their region? A: Make sure you tell your friends and family to purchase tickets!!! Q: A moment in which you wish you could forget (or others would forget)? A: When I collapsed on Capital Hill! Q: Your dream birthday present from the Krew? A: My dream birthday present from the Krew is that they purchase multiple copies of the new album “Based on a True Story” when it drops in April or March. ;-) Q: Kim, would you ever consider taking a part in a Broadway musical? A: ABSOLUTELY! I can’t wait to do a Broadway show! Unfortunately, that will be down the road because I can not be a pop star and on Broadway at the same time…impossible. Q: Would you take a recurring role on a soap opera? A: I would love to be apart of a soap…but again, it would be very time consuming. Q: If you could do a biopic, who would you like to play? A: I am keeping this a secret! Sorry! Q: Are you still recording the album, and are you writing all of it? A: I am recording the new album and I have co-written over half of it…about 8 or 9 songs, and there will only be 11 songs on the album. Q: Is it all about your breakup, or is there more to the "story" that it’s based on? A: There is definitely more to the story and it relates to other relationships in my life. Q: Are there any AC type hits on it (like “I Could”) ? Because right now, I think that’s where your strongest in radio. A: Yes, there are the AC pop songs…we couldn’t leave those out. They are great! Q: Is "Supawoman" the first single for sure? Or, are others in the running? By the way, “Trust Myself” is a great song, my favorite so far. A: We are pretty sure that “Supawoman” is the first single, but things can change. You never know. Q: Is "I Dare You" going to be on the next cd? A: No, I don’t think so, we have all new songs. Q: I have a question. In your last blog you mentioned how you saw Ashlee got another shot on SNL, and you smiled. I wanted to know if that was a bad smile, or a good smile? A: I respect her because she has a great career, but I am not a fan. I would die to be on SNL and the fact that she really wasn’t singing is disconcerting to me as a real singer. Sorry…I do respect her because she is very successful. |
